  In April 2019, Robin Williams is hereby conferred the title of honourary research fellow by SISS.

  Professor Robin Williams is the Director of the Institute for the Study of Science, Technology and Innovation (ISSTI) at the University of Edinburgh, UK. The Institute is the birthplace of the Sociology of Scientific Knowledge (SSK) and is known in academic circles as the Edinburgh School. Since the 1990s, the research conducted by ISSTI has expanded to include studies on technology, society, and innovation, covering areas such as life science innovation, information technology and society, energy and environment, as well as the history of science, technology, and medicine.

  Professor Robin Williams founded and led the Institute for Science, Technology, and Innovation, which currently brings together researchers from various disciplines in related fields at the University of Edinburgh. Robin Williams has played a leading role in a wide range of interdisciplinary research projects, often collaborating with experts in the fields of science and engineering. He also undertakes work related to the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at the Alan Turing Institute (UK Artificial Intelligence/Data Science Institute) of the University of Edinburgh.
